His debut film was Chirutha and his biggest hit was Magadeera, Dhruva, Chirutha which won him Filmfare in 2007. He has his production company called Konidela Productions and produced his first film Khaidi No.150. He has his polo team called Ram Charan Hyderabad Polo Riding Club. He sang Mumbai Ke hero. He was the alumnus of Kishore Namit Acting School. He also sang a song called Mumbai Ka Hero for the film Toofan.
